BSM60/60B Conveyor Belt Speed Sensor

BSM60 Belt Speed Monitors are used to control the speed of a conveyor belt. Variety of reasons including wear and tear on belt, overloading of the belt, mechanical obstructions could lead to slowdown of conveyor belts. When unnoticed, these could lead to excessive tear on driving motors and eventual shutdown which would be costly to fix.

BSM60 Belt Speed Sensor is connected to a non-driven shaft (eg. bend pulley) with a special coupling. Switch is suspended with a restraint arm and spring to enable a floating connection to reduce the stress on the shaft. Then the BSM60 will generate pulses that can be read through a totalizer/integrator to detect the speed of the pulley. BSM60 is used for belt speeds between 20 and 280 rpm. BSM60B is for slow speeds between 3 and 30 rpm.

The product is suitable for reliable long term usage in most industrial applications due to its heavy-duty design. Anti-static powder coated aluminium cast enclosure is resistant to corrosion and oxidation. Shaft mechanism is made of stainless steel and all internal parts are metal cast. BSM60 series products do not require any maintenance. All models conform to CE (European Union) and EAC (Eurasian Customs Union)standards.
